Josh joined Friday & Cox in 2016, and concentrates his practice in medical malpractice, defective products, personal injury and workers’ compensation. Additionally, Josh specializes in appeals and handles much of the firm’s appellate work. He has handled appeals in the Pennsylvania Superior Court and in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Josh was born in Pittsburgh, but grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State University – Main Campus in 2011, with concentrations in crime, law and justice and sociology. He then attended Duquesne University School of Law and graduated in 2014. While in law school, Josh was a law clerk for Friday & Cox, where he honed his skills as a civil litigator. He was a member of Duquesne’s Law Review, and served as an officer in his third year. Also in his third year, Josh was granted a temporary license to practice law by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and represented indigent defendants with the Office of Conflict Counsel in Pittsburgh, a branch of the Public Defenders’ Office.
Since obtaining his license to practice law, Josh has devoted his career to being a trial lawyer, representing injured plaintiffs in cases ranging from dog bites and car accidents to medication, surgical and other medical errors by doctors, hospitals and nursing homes.
Josh was recently named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, Rising Star, an award given to only 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40, or in practice less than 10 years. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania.
